NEVER LET
THEM DOWN!

The mental health of military families needs attention.

Help us make changes that can save lives.

THE CHALLENGES OF MILITARY LIFE

Despite offering many benefits, being part of the military involves a set of challenges that families struggle with.
As a military family, we understand them well and are committed to addressing each of them with our programs.

ISOLATION

Both parents and children feel isolated and lack the assistance

they need day in and day out.

FREQUENT MOVES

Typical military families move 6 to 9 times before kids reach 12th grade.

INSECURITY

Insecurity comes in many forms including fear of abandonment, and lack of food or medical supplies.

CHILDCARE

Due to their frequent moves, military families struggle to find affordable and accessible childcare

SEPARATION

Long-term duty means being separated for long periods of time, with the fear of losing a loved one.

UNEMPLOYMENT

Military spouses face unemployment 6 times more than their civilian counterparts.

SOCIALIZATION

Children need to be active and co-mingle with peers. Being active in the local community creates bonds and builds a support system critical to better outcomes. We have partnered with CND to provide a variety of Youth programs.

Involving children in sports builds self-confidence and improves overall happiness. We have partnered with NBS to increase the participation of people of color in winter sports by offering them organized ski and snowboard trips.

EMPLOYMENT

Access to jobs and to networking activities helps the unemployed find work and build self-esteem.
